Supporting Clients through the Threat –
ING Increases Daily Hospital Cash Benefits And Launches
"365 Days Unemployment Benefits Protection"
To navigate through the threat of Influenza A (H1N1) and the economic crisis with our customers, ING Life specially launches two enhancements of protection, including doubling the claims amount of the "Daily Hospital Cash Benefit" for those clients who are diagnosed with H1N1 and require hospitalization, as well as offering those who are made redundant a free extended grace period up to 365 days for premium payments.
In face of the danger from swine flu, ING remains on its guard to offer enhanced protection to take care of the health of our clients through a newly launched arrangement - if the insured is diagnosed with Influenza A (H1N1) on or before 30 June 2009 and requires hospitalization in Hong Kong, the "Daily Hospital Cash Benefit" offered under the policy will be doubled. This additional benefit is applicable to the first 30 days of Hospital Confinement, so as to bring peace of mind for clients.
Moreover, during the current tough times when the economy will need to take some time to fully recover, ING strives to support our clients even on rainy days by specially launching a "Free Extended Grace Period for Premium Payments". Customers who are finding it financially difficult to fulfil due premium payments as a result of the unfortunate event of their dismissal will be eligible to apply for a one-year extended grace period for free on or before 31 October 2009 , while policy protection will remain effective during this period. Policy reinstatement is simple - customers do not need to submit further evidence of insurability upon the repayment of all overdue premiums.
The above two new protection features are designed for both ING existing and potential clients to provide comprehensive coverage for their health and to protect them against financial difficulty. This year, serving Hong Kong citizens for over 25 years, ING will continue to invest more resources and tailor-make additional services for all its customers.
The enhanced benefit only applies to those insured with MediPro [100]/[01] basic plan/rider issued successfully on or before 30 June 2009. The relevant policy must pass the cooling off and the waiting periods, and must be in force when any claim is made.
The policyholder should work for the same employer for at least 24 consecutive months or above and be made redundant after 1 May 2009.
