ING Brand-new TV Commercial Series - "The Brilliant Good Man"

(Hong Kong, 16 April, 2007) ING will launch a new series of TV commercials in mid-April 2007. In the new commercials, Steve Austin, the title character of the 1970s popular 'Six Million Dollar Man' dubbed television series, appears in the role of Give Austin and offers help to needy people with his extraordinary abilities. This nostalgic theme, with its creative approach, conveys the spirit of 'Being a Good Person'.

The new commercial series consists of three episodes, comprising 'Grab your claims in just five days', 'Find services as usual, even during typhoon', and 'We care more than you expect'. As introduced in the commercials, Give Austin was re-formed by having his right arm, left eye and both legs replaced, to enhance his strength for being a good brilliant man. As shown by the stories in the three episodes, his good deeds in helping others with his superior abilities resemble that of the ING commitment on helping others. Furthermore, the commercials convey the dedication of ING to provide immediate and comprehensive services to its customers, no matter the situation.

Each story vividly reflects a distinct service pledge made by ING to its insurance customers. In the first episode, Give Austin reacts fast, which resembles ING undertaking speedy claims in just five days *; for the second episode, he lends a hand to a girl who is blown down by a typhoon, which is as trustful as the all-year-around services provided by the ING Customer Service Centre; and for the third episode, he gives his consolation and 'heart' to a client in hospital, which is like ING insurance consultant giving the utmost care and attention to its customers.

The new commercials will be broadcast on TVB Jade, major outdoor TVs, and in cinemas starting from mid-April. Advertisements can also be seen at MTR stations, on buses and in magazines, etc. Moreover, an online game - 'Give Austin Helping Fast', will be launched on 16 April 2007. Customers who visit www.ing.com.hk and answer correctly three questions relating to the new commercials, will have the chance to win a 'NINTENDO NDS' or '17" LCD Monitor'.
