|
 The ING 25th Anniversary Presents – Metro 18 Superstars Charity Concert, co-organised with Metro INFO, took place on 30 September 2009. This mega-event featured top singers performing at AsiaWorld-Expo Arena. Performers included the ever-popular legend Alan Tam, Prudence Liew, Leo Ku, Edmond Leung, Swing, Justin, Vincy, G.E.M., Mr., Kate Tsui and Club de Banana.
These brilliant singers, with their powerful songs, captured the hearts of the audience, resembling ING in winning its clients’ confidences through its strength and efforts.

| ING 25th Anniversary Metro Charity Walk |
ING 25th Anniversary Metro Charity Walk was successfully held at Tai Tam Reservoir on 27 September 2009. Over 500 participants signed up for the Charity Walk, including ING staff, wealth planners and clients, as well as their invited families and friends.
The Charity Walk raised over HK$380,000, which included contributions from participants as well as the match donations by ING. These funds will go to UNICEF in support of their education projects for the rebuilding of Sichuan.

Time flies now that I have been working for ING for 25 years! Over these years, the job has provided me with very fruitful experiences, and the company has offered me a lot of opportunities and training, as well as room for me to excel. During my development, the company has given its support and respect, like an important partner in my career. | New Welcome Kit is launched |
We are devoted to providing easier and convenient financial services to our customers. To achieve this end, we have revamped the welcome kit to be sent to all new policyholders. This new welcome kit was launched in August, providing updated and comprehensive policy-related information to customers, including:
‧ Welcome kit booklet
The booklet provides practical and useful information, including details about change of policy content and premium payments, a simple guide to claims, policy-related communications and email registration for special offers, etc.
‧ Customer e-Survey
To continuously upgrade our services, we need to collect valuable opinions from customers. Customers can log-in to the Customer Interactive Service website to complete the customer survey. A gift will be given to customers who submit the survey.
In addition, the welcome kit includes a notification letter regarding the cooling-off period, an interactive service leaflet and the customer card.
To save paper resources and to avoid existing customers receiving the same welcome kit again, the welcome kit will be sent to new policyholders only. Existing customers who insure new basic policies will only receive the welcome letter showing the cooling-off period.

ING Dreams for Chidren Programme - Nature Exploration Tour at Ma Wan Park |
Once again, on 6 June 2009, we joined hands with the Hans Andersen Club to serve primary school students from Bui O Public School, Pui O, Lantau Island. Forty primary school students and around 50 ING volunteers visited Ma Wan Park to engage themselves in an enjoyable day of “Nature and Learning” exploration activities along with the creation and telling of stories.
ING volunteers, including agents and clients, joined their friends and families at this meaningful event. Volunteers and primary school students had fun participating together in the classroom. Classes examined nature through an interactive tour to learn the mystery of nature and the importance of conservation. Moreover, creative handicraft, group games and story-making activities helped to build a partnered relationship among the participants for happiness and encouragement. The day ended in great joy for all.
Our wish is that, as a follow up to the previous school visits and services held last year, this activity will provide deprived children from outlying islands an opportunity for balanced development through interactive activities with volunteers.

eTravel - Online Application for Life Customers |
To ensure our customers are able to have the insurance cover in a fast and convenient way, an electronic version of TravelCare Insurance for Life customers – eTravel is now available. Life customers can purchase single trip insurance online with no restrictions in time and place.
Through this service platform, Life customers can review the coverage and obtain quotes. Once a suitable plan is selected, applications and payment through credit card can all be completed online. Once the policy is approved, the insurance certificate will be issued instantly.
Customers can simply log-in to access the system and complete the application by following the steps listed on the right. This service will surely bring added convenience to our customers.

| New version of Annual Benefit Statement |
The new version of the 2009 Annual Benefit Statement complying with the "Code on Disclosure for MPF Investment Funds" will be sent to all MPF customers before the end of March next year. The new version will provide more detailed information, such as transaction details of your account, in order to match the different needs of our scheme members.

| MPF Portability |
"MPFS (Amendment) Bill 2009" was approved by
Legislative Council on 8 July 2009, which allows all employees to transfer their own mandatory contributions once a year, with implementation expected to be carried out at the soonest by early 2011.
Under the current regulations, employees can only transfer their MPF accounts from their employer's MPF scheme to a selected MPF account after termination of their employment. According to the new Ordinance, employees will have more choices and they are no longer confined to the employers' designated trustee.
Within their existing terms of employment, they can choose to transfer their own mandatory contributions to their selected MPF scheme in a lump sum at least once a year.

Tips for Medical Insurance |
Is the body check compulsory when applying for medical insurance?
For normal cases, the client will only be requested to provide accurate medical history on the applicant form. Under certain circumstances, to help underwriting and to formulate the premium, some insurance companies may request the applicant to have a body check.
Renew and whole life coverage
Medical insurance has an age limit and a renewal age limit. For most cases, the age limit is 65 years old and the renewal age limit is usually 75. Regarding the increase of life expectancy, a whole life medical insurance plan is suggested as this type of plan can be guaranteed to be renewed until the insured is 100 years old.
Don't forget the waiting period
Some medical plans include a waiting period from 14 days to 1 year after the policy’s effective date. Medical expenses for sicknesses that occur in this period will be not covered by the plan. Medical expenses caused by accidents are not conditioned by the waiting period.
