Alexandre Song

Date of Birth Country Position
9 September 1987 Cameroon Midfielder

Alexandre Song Billong started his career with the Bastia (Corsica) youth squad on 2003/04, attracting considerable attention. In 2005, he helped the club win the Under-18 National French Cup, known as the Gambardella Cup. This led to Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger trialing Song during Arsenal's pre-season training camp in Austria in 2005.

By January 2007, Song was on loan to Charlton Athletic following successful appearances at the Under-20 African Cup of Nations in Congo. However, despite a string of impressive performances Song couldn't save Alan Pardew's team from relegation to the Championship.

With the start of the 2008 season, Song is back on the bench at the Emirates Stadium. Song can operate in midfield or defence and has made 16 appearances for Arsenal to date, but is hoping to cement a regular place this season. He is the nephew Rigobert Song, Cameroon's most capped player.

Andre Bikey

Bikey started his professional career at Espanyol in Spain when he was just 15, but after two years with the club left having never made a first team appearance. He then moved to Shinnik Yaroslavl (250 kilometres north of Moscow), where he caught the eye of Lokomotiv Moscow, for whom he signed on 1 July 2005, however he quickly tired of the Russian capital, and the racial abuse from rival teams's fans and jumped at the chance to play for Reading for an initial trial period during their pre-season trip to Sweden.

Bikey expressed a desire to obtain a permanent deal, and April 2007 saw Bikey sign a three-year contract with Reading for a transfer fee in excess of £1 million to keep him at the club until the summer of 2010.

Following impressive performances and goals for Reading, his current club, Andre Bikey has become a firm favourite with the club's fans.
